Specializations and Interests
As a Couple & Family Therapist, I look at all issues from a systemic and relational standpoint. In addition, I dedicate my practice to serve minority and under-served populations including:
LGBT+
Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender individuals, couples and families have historically faced and still face discrimination. As a man who identifies as Gay, I seek to provide a safe place to help this population. In addition, there are little to no resources in family therapy for Transgender individuals and their families. I provide this needed service.
People of Color
Historically, people of color have not sought out Mental Health treatment because of the stigma revolving around it. I am proud person of color that has made it his mission to provide beneficial and non-judgmental treatment to my community while breaking stereotypes surrounding this stigma.
Military
For those who have just enrolled, in reserved or are coming back from deployment, I offer one hour of free therapy on a fixed schedule through the Give an Hour program. This population is near to me as I have many veterans in the generations before and after me who have served for our country.
I am dedicated to providing a safe place for individuals of all ages with Autism Spectrum Disorder as well as their families.
In addition to the topics above, I also specialize in:
Neurodevelopmental Disorders
Depression/Anxiety
Sex & Intimacy
PTSD
Marital/Relational Discord
Adoption and Foster Care/Attachment
Grief and Loss
Blended Families
Polyamory, Relationship Anarchy and Sex Positive Affirmative therapy
